SUMMARY:Piano Room Series - Harvest Edition!
DESCRIPTION:About:\nWhen critically-acclaimed Canadian recording artist and versatile singer-songwriter Colin Fowlie arrived on the scene he brought with him a storied past\, unique and compelling compositions in song\, and charismatic vocal stylings. He turned heads with his debut full-length album “Party Music” and has demonstrated tremendous growth and exploration\, making an emphatic statement with his sophomore album “East of Nowhere” in 2021.\nFowlie continues to evolve his craft as not only a singer\, songwriter\, recording artist\, and touring performer but also as a music educator\, mentor\, and content creator. He spends the balance of his time with family or exploring the world on two wheels with the wind in his face.\nThe unique character of his songs fuse elements of folk\, rock\, blues and Americana/Canadiana into a special blend of universally themed storytelling that\, along with his down-to-earth personality\, create magic that audiences adore.\nColin’s discography has garnered radio airplay on campus\, community and commercial radio across Canada and has graced various charts\, both regionally and nationally\, including the #1 position on the national Folk/Roots/Blues chart. He has accrued more than 3 million views on YouTube and received a MusicNB nomination for “Breakthrough Artist of the Year” and “SOCAN Song of the Year” in 2019 an additional “Song of the Year” nomination in 2021\, and a showcase at the 2022 ECMAs. Radio stations in the UK\, Holland\, Australia\, and the USA have also embraced his music since 2015.\nhttps://www.colinfowlie.com/\nJoel Manchester was born in Digby Nova Scotia to a musical family. Singing around the campfire was commonplace\, while practicing harmonies and learning his first few chords on guitar. His father recorded several albums throughout his childhood which opened Joel’s eyes to the professional side of music. Creativity is Joel’s driving passion\, whether it’s writing songs\, painting or making films. Currently\, his main musical outlet is singing and writing songs with the band Run The River\, who have been nominated for music New Brunswick’s breakthrough artist of the year in 2021 and music video of the year in 2022.\nhttps://www.runtherivermusic.com/\nKatie Schurman is a 20-year-old Fredericton based singer/songwriter\, originally hailing from Embro\, Ontario. Singing since she could speak\, Katie was always encouraged by her family to keep her musical passions as an active part in her life. This led her to pursue musical theatre for most of her childhood. Theatre taught Katie the importance of story-telling with music and this shows in her current writing and performances.\nSince picking up the guitar at 13\, Katie has played her fair share of coffee houses\, open mics\, and gigs in Ontario and New Brunswick. Shortly after turning 19\, Katie entered the Fredericton music scene with a repertoire comprised of many favourite songs by Canadian women (Alanis Morissette\, Amanda Marshall\, Jann Arden\, Joni Mitchell\, etc). By the time Katie turned 20\, she had written an album’s worth of songs that she now frequently performs around the area. She pulls from Americana\, rock\, country\, and folk for much of her inspiration.\nDetails:\n*Donations are encouraged to help support the artist.*\nSeating will be available.\nBYO-non-alcoholic-B. (no food please)\nNo pets allowed in the Piano Room during events.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/505179898884661/

She performed locally and then spread out to the Fredericton area during university. With strong entrepreneurial spirit\, she and two friends opened a live music bar in downtown Fredericton called the Attic on King. There\, she supported the local music scene and fostered the grass roots beginnings of the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival\, while honing her own craft as a rhythm guitar player and highly engaging singer/entertainer. SUMMARY:Kenny & Dolly Together Again
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS: $60 \nVaughnCo Entertainment is proud to present: \nThe Original “TOGETHER AGAIN” Show\nAn incredible tribute to country music’s favourite couple …\nKenny Rogers & Dolly Parton\nStarring Marty Edwards and Wendy T \nKenny & Dolly Together Again starring Wendy T and Marty Edwards\, “Kinda Kenny”\, recreates the magic of Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers\, as these two seasoned professionals deliver the incredible songs and the onstage playfulness of Kenny & Dolly’s Real Love tour. \nDolly Parton and Kenny Rogers are legends in the entertainment world with singing and acting careers that have spanned over five decades! \nIn 1983 Kenny and Dolly toured together performing their show Real Love also known as Together. With a long list of individual hits plus their exciting duets\, including their #1 duet Islands in The Stream\, the show was amazing and a huge success! \nThis tribute act has it all… the songs\, the mannerisms\, the vocals\, the professionalism and of course\, the charm\, magic and on-stage playfulness of Kenny & Dolly Together Again. \nMarty Edwards started his musical career in the early 70’s as a lead vocalist and guitarist for a country band and performed many popular Kenny Rogers songs of the time\, but never consciously tried to imitate Kenny until a producer observed his uncanny resemblance to Kenny Rogers and the similarity in his vocals. Not until 1998 when he produced his first annual benefit concert did Marty try the Kenny Rogers tribute act. It went over so well he was asked to repeat the performance at other venues. \nMarty has met Kenny Rogers twice since starting the tribute. Kenny told Marty\, ”Now don’t go getting me into any trouble!” \nMarty’s tribute to Kenny Rogers has taken him world-wide with performances throughout the USA\, Canada\, Mexico\, England\, Asia\, Ireland and Australia and he has been seen on Jay Leno\, Oprah\, and CNN. \nWendy T is a versatile professional performer having appeared on stage in several roles that have featured her incredible vocal talents. Wendy starred in the title role of the musical “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” and performed as a country singer on the Nashville Network in one of her dozens of TV appearances. \n“Portraying a legend such as Dolly is a tough job\,” says Wendy\, “Because of the distinctive style of the multi-award winning performer.” Wendy handles this challenge with the same ease as the real Country superstar\, and she has become a favourite at all Legends venues.

SUMMARY:Valmy & Catherine Kennedy at Haven Music Hall!
DESCRIPTION:If you love moving vocalists and skilled instrumentalism\, this evening with Valmy and Catherine Kennedy is not to be missed!! All ages\, $15 adv/$20 at the door. Doors 7:30\, show 8pm!\nValmy is Newfoundland-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Ontario who’s been following the ocean and making home on the East Coast. Exploring themes of wonder\, loss\, and healing\, she uses her folk-influenced music to tell stories about loving and stumbling your way through the dark.\, Valmy creates and performs by weaving nature-inspired melodic swells and atmospheric harmonies with her contemplative writing.\nThis is demonstrated through her debut full-length album ‘The In Between’\, independently released in September 2023 and warmly received by listeners\, with a thoughtful review by Tony Ploughman of Fred’s Records: “The rhythms and melodies wrap around the mind and soul like a lovingly patched quilt…There is a cohesiveness to this full album offering meditative musings on balancing one’s own mental state in harmony with nature\, the songs providing a methodical process to achieve that balance. And the underlying intensity to follow through on the beckoning of one’s thoughts and emotions to create is constant…Deftly produced\, engineered and mixed\, “The In Between” is one of 2023’s finest NL Releases”.\n.\nAward-winning singer-songwriter Catherine Kennedy invites you to join her on the long way home. Any story worth telling deserves the time it takes to travel along the nostalgic route\, and Catherine’s soulful lyrics and bluesy tones will transport you directly there.\nOne music-lover praised how “the beautiful quality and range of Catherine’s voice pairs perfectly with her gift of storytelling. Catherine’s music makes you feel part of something bigger. Her songs always seem as though they’re written for you.”\nFollowing hot on the heel’s of Catherine Kennedy’s Harvest Jazz and Blues performance (with McKinley\, Morrison & Williams) opening for the legendary Victor Wooten & the Wooten Brothers\, come out to hear her on the Haven Music Hall stage!\n———–\nAccessibility\nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. SUMMARY:Tommy Emmanuel\, CGP – Live In Concert
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS: VIP1 $174.00 / VIP2 $302.00 / P1 $76.50 / P2 $65.00\nAnytime you talk to any of Tommy Emmanuel’s fans\, whether musicians or civilians\, invariably they will speak of not one but two qualities that define his greatness. The first\, predictably\, is his extraordinary guitar playing. Considered by those in the know to be among this planet’s greatest guitarists\, his playing is simply miraculous\, as it would take three musicians\, or more\, to do what Tommy does solo. Who else\, for example\, when playing “Day Tripper\,” can lay down the rhythm part\, dig into the riff and sing the melody all at once on just one acoustic guitar?\nWhich brings us to the other aspect of his music always mentioned\, and without which the first might not be as powerful or as infectiously appealing: the joy. Yes\, joy. Because it’s one thing to play these multi-dimensional arrangements flawlessly on an acoustic guitar. But to do it with that smile of the ages\, that evidence of authentic\, unbridled delight\, is an irresistible invitation to feel his music as deeply as he does. “The joy\, ” he says\, “is always there because I’m chasing it through music. Seeing the surprise in peoples’ eyes is worth living and working for… I can’t help but play to the people with all my heart\, which is overflowing with joy of being in that moment that I’ve worked all my life for. And here it is!”\nAlthough his expression is instrumental\, he comes to the guitar much more like a vocalist\, positively singing melodies through the strings. He inhabits the tunes he performs\, delivering every nuance and turn of phrase. His own songs are also illuminated always with lyrical melodies that go right to the heart\, such as his beautiful ode to his daughter\, “Angelina\,” or his great “story without words\,” “Lewis & Clark.” That they resonate so deeply without words makes sense\, as words only go so far. But music\, coming from a genuine and joyful source\, can go so much farther. Now with The Best of Tommy songs\, he brings us a complete collection of his own songs\, all rich with ripe melodicism and rendered with joy in real-time.\nVIP Packages:\nVIP ticket holders will receive an email from support@seated.com 48 hours before the event with instructions for redeeming your VIP package. SUMMARY:Trans-Canada Highwaymen
DESCRIPTION:TICKETS: $67.50 adults | $62.50 members \nThe Trans-Canada Highwaymen (TCH) is a super group (your words – not mine) consisting of Moe Berg (TPOH)\, Chris Murphy (Sloan)\, Craig Northey (Odds) and Steven Page (Ex-BNL). Four guys who have known each other for (ahem) decades now all of whom have written songs that have contributed to Canadian culture. \nThey started playing shows together as TCH in 2017. At the shows\, each take turns singing their own hit songs and whoever is not singing lead becomes the backing band for whoever is singing. With all four bringing their A material\, it’s a set list full of bangers. \nEveryone who has seen the show has been knocked out. Audiences get the opportunity to hear a setlist full of Can-Rock Classics and it also gives Moe\, Chris\, Craig and Steven a opportunity to hang out together\, laugh their heads off and put that energy into the TCH live shows. \nIn keeping with their credo\, “Play the hits!”\, TCH have recorded an album of Canadian classics from 1969-1975 called The Trans-Canada Highwaymen Explosive Hits Vol. 1. The songs from that era and the packaging they’ve created are an homage to the K-Tel compilation records of the 1970’s. \nOn this album\, you’ll hear Steven sing “Undun” (The Guess Who)\, “Rock Me Gently” (Andy Kim) and “(I Believe) There’s Nothing Stronger Than Our Love” (Paul Anka). You’ll hear Craig sing “Tonite is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love” (April Wine)\, “Make My Life a Little Bit Brighter” (Chester)\, “Heartbeat\, It’s a Lovebeat” (The DeFranco Family) and “Can’t Catch Me” (BIM). You’ll hear Chris sing “Lovin’ You Ain‘t Easy” (Michel Pagliaro)\, “Which Way You Goin’ Billy?” (The Poppy Family) and “Carry Me” (The Stampeders). You’ll hear Moe sing “Pretty Lady” (Lighthouse)\, “Raised on Robbery” (Joni Mitchell) and “You\, Me and Mexico” (Edward Bear). \nAs a bonus TCH added the Steven Page penned\, “Theme from Trans-Canada Highwaymen”\, which offers some context for how TCH came to be. Steven explains: \nCraig and I were on the road \nHoping my album would explode \nBut it didn’t\, yet again \nGot a call from Jim Millan \nWith this idea for a band \nLike some CanRock Highwaymen \nHe said he’d try to book a show \nFor me and Chris and Craig and Moe
