Proud Acadian\, passionate about holistic health and well-being\, art\, writing\, and music\, her goal is to share stories through music and to promote it as a powerful therapeutic tool for overall health. Through her lyrics and her music\, such as her unique harmonica melodies\, we can hear and feel the authenticity of the emotions in her songs and her stories.\nShe released her first EP in October 2023. A bilingual country/folk/Acadian style album composed of both French and English original compositions. Her musical style and her writing reflect and integrate life experiences as well as relatable situations and challenges. Her latest project\, an illustrated picture book for children in which she exploits her literary and artistic creativity\, is projected to be published in the spring of 2024. With a passion for writing\, music\, and the well-being of all\, what she offers us is something pure\, true\, and sincere.\nAmber Walls is a country artist from Blackville\, New Brunswick. In recent years\, she has honed her passion for singing\, drawing influence from songwriters such as Ashley McBryde\, Taylor Swift\, and HARDY. Carrying with her a style that falls somewhere between new and 90s country\, Walls has been featured on Miramichi Songwriters – a songwriters circle broadcast across Canada on Rogers TV – and at a pre-season NHL game where she was asked to sing the national anthems. Walls was a showcasing artist at Festival506 in 2022. Amber was the only New Brunswick artist to be featured in the CBC Searchlight Top 100 in 2023 with her debut single “Should Have Listened to Mama” released in April 2023\, after being awarded the Artist Development grant from Music New Brunswick and the Government of New Brunswick. For over a decade starting in the early 2000s she traveled the country singing about skeletons\, school buses\, babies and hot dog restaurants.\nMore recently she’s been known for her alt-folk tenor guitar and banjo project “Bird City”\, and the dust had settled on Jenny’s Omnichords for the better part of a decade\, but she resurfaced for her twentieth anniversary in 2020 for the world’s first ever virtual International Omnichord Festival. DESCRIPTION:On Thursday June 20th\, we are continuing our Tony’s Music Box Piano Room Series with Jeff Patch & Marie-Hélène Michaud!\nAbout:\nJeff Patch has been writing and performing music for decades and created the band “Free to Grow” in 2014 as a vehicle to perform and record original music. Fashioned after the classic rock he grew up with\, Free to Grow tunes have charted on radio stations in Canada\, the United States\, the UK\, Germany\, France\, South Africa\, and Australia. In 2015 the band won the Stingray Rising Star Award at the Fredericton Harvest Festival. In 2023 Jeff won the JL Music Composer Award as decided upon by a jury of award winning Atlantic Canadian artists. To date Free to Grow has recorded 4 studio albums plus one live album.\nMarie-Hélène Michaud is highly skilled vocalist and performer that has been singing all her life. She is currently a member of the “Fast Eddie and the Fembots” and the “Jazzmoizelles.” As a member of Free to Grow she was the lead vocalist on 6 songs on their most recent album and provided backing vocals for the other tunes.\nJeff and Marie-Hélène will be performing a number of original Free to Grow tunes in an intimate unplugged format. DESCRIPTION:On Thursday August 1st\, we are continuing our Tony’s Music Box Piano Room Series with Marty & Cynthia Hall!\nAbout:\nMarty Hall\nA seasoned musical veteran with influences from the Beatles\, Gordon Lightfoot\, Haggard and Jones\, CSNY\, The Eagles and others too numerous to mention. During the 70s and 80s Marty toured across Canada and parts of the US\, playing drums\, guitar\, bass and singing with various bands and as a solo performer.\nCurrently working as musical director and backup vocal co-ordinator for NB Country Showcase\, and playing drums and vocals in a local psychedelic 60s band. Also working as a solo performer and duet with wife Cynthia.\nCynthia Hall\nCynthia spent 10 years as a backup vocalist and featured performer as part of the NB Country Showcase band. Her main influences are Dolly Parton\, Carly Simon\, Eva Cassidy and Linda Ronstadt\, to name a few. Guided by their collective love for inescapable harmonies\, big riffs\, and unforgettable hooks\, their debut album\, Hit Record\, blends the best of rock music’s heyday with a fearless appreciation of the here and now. Rock and roll hasn’t sounded this sweet in too long.\nPARTAKE are a 5 piece that likes to jam. We are writer Josh Hicks on vocals and guitar\, Jake “Boss” McIntyre (guitar)\, Jake Craig (drums)\, Doug Martin (bass)\, and Jennifer Nason (keys/ bvs). We all play in a lot of bands and hang out in uptown SJ. We have a heavy / alternative / jammy / indie sound.\nAccessibility\nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets. If you’d like more information about accessing our space please email abigail@havenmusichall.com.\nAll Ages Show Details\nThis is a wet/dry show\, meaning both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served. All patrons will be ID’d upon entry and given a coloured bracelet corresponding with their ticket type (19+ or -19). Bartenders will also be checking IDs at the bar. During all ages shows we are careful not to serve multiple drinks to one person\, so if you’re buying your 19+ friend a beer please bring them to the bar to order with you! All ages are welcome but only 19+ patrons with ID’s may purchase alcohol. Patrons aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a guardian.\nSafer Spaces Policy/Code of Conduct\nHaven Music Hall (HMH) is committed to ensuring a safer show experience for musicians\, audiences\, staff\, and volunteers.
