SUMMARY:Connor & Logan Duo Live at The Cottage
DESCRIPTION:Connor & Logan Duo\nat The Cottage\n$20 in person or e-transfer davejaglove@gmail.com\nBYOB\nConnor Fox (Hypochondriacs) and Logan Richard are touring New Brunswick to bring awareness to their respective abilities as two of the Maritimes brightest young guitarists and songwriters. Two stools\, two guitars and two massive talents in one amazing show.\nFox has been playing since he was old enough to hold a guitar\, but that was merely his apprenticeship. In more recent years has turned heads in the role of lead guitarist for the extremely popular live act\, The Hypochondriacs. Outside of that\, Connor has begun to flex his talents in order to realize his own songwriting abilities with the release of his debut album\, Music Room\, which not only highlights his delightfully varied approach to the guitar\, but also showcases his vocal chops\, which get stronger with every performance.\nRichard launched as a solo artist in 2017\, when he was still a teenager. More recently\, this three time Music PEI Award winner and ECMA nominee\, has taken his profile to the next level with support from both CBC Radio 1 and 2\, and hitting one million streams on Spotify. His latest EP\, Learning To Love (2023) showcases a more mature\, reflective side of his songwriting. Richard’s talents have made him a sought-after session\, and live\, guitar player capable of working everything from the blues\, to pop\, to indie rock.\nIt’s gonna be mind blowing!\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/428993236172693/

SUMMARY:Dillon Ryan & The Dream Romantic - “In Polaroid” Album Release Fredericton
DESCRIPTION:Dillon Ryan & The Dream Romantic launch their new album “In Polaroid” April 27th in Fredericton at Broken Record Room & Bar with Special Guests IPACO and The Gregories\nDoors open at 8 PM\nshow at 9:30 PM\nTickets are $10 adv/$15 at the door\nStudents $5 at the door only\nhttps://locarius.io/events/703/dillon-ryan-the-dream-romantic-in-polaroid-album-release-fredericton-with-ipaco\nDillon Ryan & the Dream Romantic are an infectiously talented and refreshingly distinctive new wave band from the East Coast of Canada. The band is authentically breathing new life into the underexplored genres of new wave\, goth and post punk. Their inspiration from the Smiths\, Echo & Bunnymen and the Cure is marvelously palpable in their material yet their work remains completely fresh. Their hauntingly melodic landscapes swallow you into a cinematic gothic universe. It’s soothing yet scary and you just can’t get enough.\nThe perpetually evolving artist shows no signs of slowing down. It is clear he was born to play music and that trajectory has led him down an illustrious path. Dillon Ryan & The Dream Romantic weave melodic lullabies and gothic ballads that cling to listeners. Their poetic songwriting paired with a beautifully melancholic sonic landscape is an enthralling void to lose yourself to. In a world oversaturated with pathological positivity it’s exciting to hear such an emotionally generous band. Their music somehow makes you want to dance and cry at the same time\, it’s a rare and honest dichotomy.\nIPAco\nFormed in 2023\, IPAco (E-Pah-Co: Ian Paolo Acosta & Co.) is a Neo-Soul and RnB trio comprising seasoned musicians Ian Acosta\, Von Escueta\, and Jansen Felicidario. With their collective experience and passion\, they deliver soul-stirring melodies that promise an unforgettable musical journey. SUMMARY:The Last Call with Austin Eatman @ Wasted Day Brewing
DESCRIPTION:Couldn’t be more excited to announce our next show at Wasted Day Brewing on May 10th with our friend Austin’s Eatman! We’ve been working hard on new original material and can’t wait for everyone to hear it.\nGet your tickets at the link below:\nhttps://www.eventbrite.ca/e/the-last-call-and-austin-eatman-tickets-881486398547\nAbout The Last Call\nThe Last Call is a band from the Port City of Saint John NB\, that was established in summer of 2022. The band has a vast range of influences from pop to blues that contributes to their own unique sound which could be described as retro with a modern generational twist.\nOver the last year The Last Call has had lots of events across New Brunswick\, such as headlining the Saint John Moonlight Bazaar and opening for Classified at the UNB Fredericton Kick Off Concert.\nThe Last Call are currently in the midst of recording and releasing their debut first single which will be available in the near future!\nAbout Austin Eatman\nHailing from the port city of Saint John\, NB\, Canada\, Austin Eatman brings a distinct East Coast Alt-Folk style and melodic sound to his eclectic performances. \nIn 2017\, he recorded a song for every day in January\, culminating in his YouTube series (Song a Day Sessions). \nDedicating his life to this musical endeavour\, he joined with Mike Belyea to form “The Sound Investments”\, a folk duo who still play regularly. \nLater he formed a full band “The Austin Eatman Band”\, releasing their debut EP “Broken Radio” in early 2020. \nUnable to tour the EP\, Austin kept busy\, collaborating with local electronic artist and producer “FWLR”\, releasing songs “Lo-fi Beats To Realize You’re An A**hole To” (With FWLR\, and Colin Ferris of “Sheik”) as well as “Lads Me Boys” under the name Brethren of The Coast (with FWLR and Jamie Comeau) \nHe has gained notoriety performing at Paddlefest in St. Andrew’s\, Follyfest in Gagetown and in 2022\, opening up for Whitehorse at the 506 Container Village. \nCurrently he focuses on recording a new full-length album set to release sometime this year with his band\, and playing as often as he can.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/837979731457833/

SUMMARY:Boy Golden with guests Fontine Live at Xeroz Arcade/Bar
DESCRIPTION:Tuesday May 14th – Doors at 7pm – Show 8pm – Tickets: $20 +Tax/Fees\nBoy Golden:\nEverything becomes fluid when you can pass through time and space like a ghost\, a story\, a melody. Boy Golden manifests all three on For Jimmy.\nWhen listening to his music\, it feels easy to dissolve into the ether. Everything flows. From classic country to psych-folk\, Alternative to roadhouse pop to Appalaichan bluegrass\, Boy Golden’s music is easy\, breezy\, warm and gritty. And don’t it just feel good to listen to it.\nSince releasing his debut album\, Church of Better Daze\, in 2021\, he’s played every summer festival on your list\, produced X albums with friends\, released a dozen videos\, curated and directed an art show and music video for “KD & Lunchmeat”\, the Seth-Rogenesque hit single that charted to #1 on Alternative Radio\, and toured more than 60 venues across North America with The Sheepdogs.\nIntrospective and vulnerable\, traditional and queer\, hard-headed and sensual\, Boy Golden’s everyman-aesthetic can appeal to all of us. This ability lies in his songwriting: the songs your friends tell you about\, the stories you hear from your neighbours\, your community. He’s comfortable both in the spotlight and just outside it\, sharing the moments with other artists\, lifting others up along with him. He’s a genuine student of Townes Van Zandt and Willie Nelson as much as Dwight Yoakam and Stevie Ray Vaughan . Plus his C.O.B.D philosophy\, “You can blaze and still get paid” might help us all to blur borders and old definitions of genres we thought we knew\, like Steve Lacy or Justin Vernon do for Pop music.\nBoy Golden is able to maintain his own unique blend of Boy Golden using whatever frame of mind he’s in to fit us into this time. We’re here right now\nFontine:\nA hush sweeps across Turtle Island. Birds flock to perch on towering maples and the waving prairie grasses still. There is a name upon the tongue of every creature from the elk to the shrew. FONTINE. A gust of wind blows open the shutters of every home and young and old kneel in reverence to the dawn of a new era. FONTINE. Queen of the road\, King of the song\, FONTINE is here with a brand new EP.\nCo-produced with Kris Ulrich and mixed by Boy Golden\, the Yarrow Lover EP is set to be released in 2023. Taking inspiration from her Nehiyaw Iskwew roots\, the natural surroundings of her prairie home\, and her musical surroundings in Winnipeg\, the EP presents as a beautiful introduction to a powerhouse songwriter and vocalist.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1086090616000894/
