DESCRIPTION:A collective of community driven hip hop artists from across the maritimes are bringing their music on tour this fall in a joint effort to fight homelessness. Artists Aquakultre\, Wolf Castle\, Stephen Hero and DJ Uncle Fester are uniting for several live performances to support precariously housed folks in the communities they visit. \nHalifax-based Aquakultre and DJ Uncle Fester join New Brunswick MC Stephen Hero and Pabineau First Nation’s Wolf Castle to create new music and raise money for shelters directly supporting at-risk populations along the way. The Better Together Tour\, which is sponsored by North Brewing\, kicks off October 24th in Halifax and will hit Saint John and Fredericton New Brunswick as well as a matinee in Charlottetown\, Prince Edward Island. \nNorth Brewing will release a brand new beer named “Better Together” in honor of this community driven artistic collaboration. 50 cents from the sale of each can will go directly to Out of The Cold Halifax. \nOct 25 at Haven Music Hall \nDoors 7pm/show 8pm \nAdvance: $25 \nStudent Discount: $20 (show student ID at the door) \nDoors: $30 \nTickets are on sale now! \nAccessibility \nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets. If you’d like more information about accessing our space please email abigail@havenmusichall.com. \nAll Ages Show Details \nThis is a wet/dry show\, meaning both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served. All patrons will be ID’d upon entry and given a coloured bracelet corresponding with their ticket type (19+ or -19). Bartenders will also be checking IDs at the bar. During all ages shows we are careful not to serve multiple drinks to one person\, so if you’re buying your 19+ friend a beer please bring them to the bar to order with you! All ages are welcome but only 19+ patrons with ID’s may purchase alcohol. Patrons aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a guardian. \nSafer Spaces Policy/Code of Conduct \nHaven Music Hall (HMH) is committed to ensuring a safer show experience for musicians\, audiences\, staff\, and volunteers. If you see or experience any form of harassment or abuse please inform the bar staff on site. If you experience harassment or abuse and wish to inform us after the fact please email abigail@havenmusichall.com. This email is read by the HMH owners only and any reports of safety violations will be treated as confidential. Incidents that are reported in real time are written up by the handling staff member and are confidential and kept on file. Abuse and harassment of an audience member\, musician\, HMH staff\, security\, or volunteers will result in immediate ejection from the premises\, potential probationary period\, and potential banning from the premises. As event coordinators we prioritize the experiences of the musicians\, staff\, and audience members\, so patrons who are being disruptive to the performance or bothering staff will be asked to stop their disruptive actions\, and may/or be asked to leave the premises.

From ages 2-14 her and her family would spend almost every weekend at their place playing good music\, celebrating life\, family\, and friends. Naturally music quickly became a huge part of my life. At the age of 5 years old I started to learn guitar from a family friend and I’ve been singing and playing since. Ella loves how music brings people together through singing along and having a good time and that’s why I love to do it. Ella draws influence from artists such as; Bruce Springsteen\, Bryan Adams\, Christ Stapleton and Zach Bryan Ella is just getting started and is turning heads in the Fredericton area and looking to spread her wings. DESCRIPTION:TICKETS: $67.50 adults | $62.50 members \nThe Trans-Canada Highwaymen (TCH) is a super group (your words – not mine) consisting of Moe Berg (TPOH)\, Chris Murphy (Sloan)\, Craig Northey (Odds) and Steven Page (Ex-BNL). Four guys who have known each other for (ahem) decades now all of whom have written songs that have contributed to Canadian culture. \nThey started playing shows together as TCH in 2017. At the shows\, each take turns singing their own hit songs and whoever is not singing lead becomes the backing band for whoever is singing. With all four bringing their A material\, it’s a set list full of bangers. \nEveryone who has seen the show has been knocked out. Audiences get the opportunity to hear a setlist full of Can-Rock Classics and it also gives Moe\, Chris\, Craig and Steven a opportunity to hang out together\, laugh their heads off and put that energy into the TCH live shows. \nIn keeping with their credo\, “Play the hits!”\, TCH have recorded an album of Canadian classics from 1969-1975 called The Trans-Canada Highwaymen Explosive Hits Vol. 1. The songs from that era and the packaging they’ve created are an homage to the K-Tel compilation records of the 1970’s. \nOn this album\, you’ll hear Steven sing “Undun” (The Guess Who)\, “Rock Me Gently” (Andy Kim) and “(I Believe) There’s Nothing Stronger Than Our Love” (Paul Anka). You’ll hear Craig sing “Tonite is a Wonderful Time to Fall in Love” (April Wine)\, “Make My Life a Little Bit Brighter” (Chester)\, “Heartbeat\, It’s a Lovebeat” (The DeFranco Family) and “Can’t Catch Me” (BIM). You’ll hear Chris sing “Lovin’ You Ain‘t Easy” (Michel Pagliaro)\, “Which Way You Goin’ Billy?” (The Poppy Family) and “Carry Me” (The Stampeders). You’ll hear Moe sing “Pretty Lady” (Lighthouse)\, “Raised on Robbery” (Joni Mitchell) and “You\, Me and Mexico” (Edward Bear). \nAs a bonus TCH added the Steven Page penned\, “Theme from Trans-Canada Highwaymen”\, which offers some context for how TCH came to be. SUMMARY:Yoo Doo Right/Ky
DESCRIPTION:Experimental rock trio Yoo Doo Right (Montréal\, CA) wed noisy\, melodic guitar parts\, effects-laden synthesizer soundscapes\, deep bass grooves and patented percussive furies into sprawling\, cathartic musical pieces. Drawing inspiration from post-rock\, krautrock\, shoegaze\, classical music\, electroacoustics\, and musique concrète\, they create a unique sound where “towering monoliths of roaring riffs crash against swarms of restless rhythms” (Pop Matters). Since 2016\, they have released two full-lengths (Don’t Think You Can Escape Your Purpose\, A Murmur\, Boundless to the East)\, three EPs (Nobody Panicked and Everybody Got On\, EP2\, The Sacred Fuck EP)\, and a few singles\, including a 7” split with Acid Mothers Temple\, whilst touring extensively in Canada\, the United and Europe. Along the way\, they have performed at notorious events such as SXSW\, Levitation\, Dunk! Fest\, Sled Island\, Treefort Music Fest\, and M for Montreal\, also opening for the likes of Acid Mothers Temple\, DIIV\, A Place to Bury Strangers\, Wooden Shjips\, Kikagaku Moyo\, FACS\, and Jessica. Scheduled for November 8th\, 2024 via Mothland\, From the Heights of Our Pastureland is yet another solemn if defiant entry in Yoo Doo Right’s rich music catalogue\, an honest and patient sonic poem about the destructive process of unbridled expansion in the name of “progress”\, the inevitable collapse and what it means to rebuild. \nKy is the new “solo” project of Ky Brooks\, best known as vocalist and lyricist of noise-punk trio Lungbutter and a slew of other Montréal-based out-music projects like 8-person queer punk band Femmaggots and experimental/improv trio Nag. Their 2023 debut\, Power Is The Pharmacy\, is an album of cerebral and visceral outsider artpunk “mainly about grief\, death\, the fear of loss\, losing dreams\, losing youth\, people\, public space\, ultimately oneself”—an emotionally electrifying\, genre-spanning collection of songs fuelled by Ky’s piercing poetry\, both spoken and sung\, that delivers an acute blend of incisive socio-political observation and spiritual sadness\, swirling through vortices of disenchantment and re-enchantment. \nDoors 7pm/show 8pm \nall ages \nAdvance $15/Door $20 \nTickets on sale now! \nAccessibility  \nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets. All patrons will be ID’d upon entry and given a coloured bracelet corresponding with their ticket type (19+ or -19). Bartenders will also be checking IDs at the bar. During all ages shows we are careful not to serve multiple drinks to one person\, so if you’re buying your 19+ friend a beer please bring them to the bar to order with you! All ages are welcome but only 19+ patrons with ID’s may purchase alcohol. Patrons aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a guardian. \nSafer Spaces Policy/Code of Conduct \nHaven Music Hall (HMH) is committed to ensuring a safer show experience for musicians\, audiences\, staff\, and volunteers. If you see or experience any form of harassment or abuse please inform the bar staff on site.
