SUMMARY:Vernissage: L'art de lâcher-prises de Carole Deveau

SUMMARY:Theresa Malenfant in Concert
DESCRIPTION:Raised in Dieppe\, New Brunswick\, Theresa Malenfant grew up surrounded by a musically talented family. When she was quite young\, her mother introduced her to the big band era of the 1940s. When she first discovered the blues\, she was so taken aback by the music; she would spend long hours listening to the recordings of her favorite performers in order to learn their techniques.\nAt the age of fourteen\, she made her singing debut at a high school variety show. Reaching deep into her soul\, she sang with such feeling and emotion that the unsuspecting audience went absolutely wild. A few years later\, and still underage\, Theresa stole quietly into a local bar and asked to sing with the great Dutch Mason – needless to say\, she brought the house down. The blues-loving crowd was so thrilled that Theresa had to sing three more numbers and repeat her first before they would let her off the stage! It wasn’t long before Theresa formed her own band and started to make an impact on audiences wherever she played; people raved about the New Brunswick girl who sang like Janis Joplin.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/411004744880228/

SUMMARY:IAN THOMAS: Full Band Tour | MONCTON
DESCRIPTION:Call: (506) 856-4379\nBook online: https://bit.ly/3SIOfzQ\nIAN THOMAS … NOT GONE YET! Full Band Tour\nIan Thomas is “the complete entertainment experience!” He is a film-composer with 22 feature films to his credit; an author; an actor\, much sought after as a voice-over artist and recognized for roles such as Dougie Franklin on the Red Green Show… and\, of course\, a Juno-award-winning Singer-Songwriter whose songs helped form the bedrock of the Canadian musical landscape\, a contribution recognized by SOCAN when Ian was honoured with a National Achievement Award for Songwriting.\nIan Thomas first garnered major radio airplay in1973 with the top-40 single Painted Ladies\, followed by a string of hits throughout the 70s and 80s\, and on into the 90s with his band The Boomers. Whether performed by him or covered by artists including Santana\, Chicago\, Manfred Mann\, America\, Bon Jovi and Bette Midler\, Ian’s many hits continually achieved heavy rotation on radio across Canada and around the world … recordings such as Come The Sun\, Long Long Way\, Right Before Your Eyes\, Coming Home\, Pilot\, Hold On\, Time Is The Keeper\, I Still Want To Hold You\, The Runner\, Levity\, Back To Square One\, Love Ya Too Much\, You Gotta Know\, One Little Word\, Dirty Love\, To Comfort You\, and of course\, Painted Ladies.\nIn the new millennium\, Ian joined fellow singer-songwriters Murray McLauchlan\, Marc Jordan and Cindy Church to form Lunch At Allen’s\, touring coast to coast for the past two decades\, and now with five albums to their credit.\nOf his art\, Ian says: “The song remains the most satisfying creative experience for me. Songs are interactive and\, with over 50 years of writing\, I have spent many hours with each one and they with me. When I listen to one of my old albums\, I remember where I was and the people I made them with\, some living\, some now dead. I think about who I am\, who I used to be\, and who I thought I was. These albums are like flags stuck in the road behind me that wind back\, into the past\, almost out of view.”\nIan Thomas\, with his stellar 4-piece band\, brings past to present recreating the original sound of all the hits …70s\, 80s\, 90s and beyond. Ian Thomas … Not Gone Yet!
