Grab the big stories before the other papers get a chance\, and make sure you get the right photos too. A newspaper is a business\, so the money has to come from somewhere — don’t forget the ads! After you’ve picked out a combination of stories\, photos\, and ads\, it’s time to lay out the front page. Did you take enough tiles to fill the paper\, but not so many that things have to be cut? Over the course of three hectic days\, your skills will be tested as you compete to be the most newsworthy editor!\nFit To Print is a tile-laying game for the whole family. Players simultaneously collect newspaper tiles\, stacking them on their desks until they think they have what they need to make the perfect front page. Then\, they will yell “Layout!” and begin to lay out the page by carefully considering the placement of centerpieces\, articles\, photographs\, and advertisements. When everything is just right\, they yell “Print” to be the first off the press and gain their choice of centerpiece for the next round! This hectic spatial puzzle features over 100 unique newspaper tiles\, 6 characters with their own special abilities\, as well as 3 decks of Breaking News cards — so that each and every time you play you will be solving a new puzzle!\nIf real-time games aren’t your style\, Fit to Print has a number of alternative modes to satisfy every type of puzzle gamer. In Slo-Mode players take turns drafting tiles from a shared market and arranging them on their front pages. In Puzzle Mode\, take a specific set of tiles and piece together the highest-scoring arrangements. DESCRIPTION:Come celebrate the release of the first EP by Crying Shames\, ‘FUCKING DOOMED’ with Sheik and Dash Talk!!\nThis show is all ages\, doors at 7\, show at 8. $10 advance\, $15 at the door.\nCrying Shames are a punk band based in Saint John\, New Brunswick. Originally founded in 2004\, they quickly established a reputation within the scene as a noisy band with terrible attitudes and an inappropriate amount of confidence. Repeatedly blacklisted by venues in 2007 due to their onstage antics\, the band soon after disbanded due to infighting. Sixteen years later\, Crying Shames have reunited with the addition of bassist Gavin Downes. They are heavily influenced by post-punk groups such as Gang of Four\, DC hardcore bands (Nation of Ulysses)\, early 2000’s post-hardcore bands (Black Eyes)\, and 90’s alternative bands (Pixies).\nAccessibility\nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets. If you’d like more information about accessing our space please email abigail@havenmusichall.com.\nAll Ages Show Details\nThis is a wet/dry show\, meaning both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served. All patrons will be ID’d upon entry and given a coloured bracelet corresponding with their ticket type (19+ or -19). Bartenders will also be checking IDs at the bar. During all ages shows we are careful not to serve multiple drinks to one person\, so if you’re buying your 19+ friend a beer please bring them to the bar to order with you! All ages are welcome but only 19+ patrons with ID’s may purchase alcohol. Last summer was our bussiest yet until tragedy struck when our bass player and great friend Nick Holland was tragically killed on his way home from a music festival we played. He died in the flooding trying to rescue others. We have since regrouped and recruited Dan to try and fill Nicks shoes and get the band back in the road since that was Nicks favorite place to be.\nWe are from Halifax but play often in New Brunswick and have a great fan base there. We are really excited to return to Fredericton and possibly Moncton in August to open for Green Jelly on their tour. We have a sound that keeps everyone moving and a lead singer who takes command of his audience.
