DESCRIPTION:RJ Chesney has deep roots in the American South\, having grown up in\nMacon\, Georgia and Biloxi Mississippi. His voice is deep and sonorous\nwith a twang. Folk \, blues\, country\, and gospel breathe in and inspire\nhis songs. RJ evokes Hank Williams Sr. meets John Prine with a little\nTownes Van Zandt thrown in.\nRJ has toured America and Europe and has earned a very loyal following.\nThis year alone RJ toured Norway ( for a 4th time ) and England ( for a 2nd time) and most recently toured the big island of Hawaii in April of 2024.\nRJ is very excited to tour to Canada for the first time \, a place that spawned so many of his singer songwriter influences \, especially Leonard Cohen .\nRJ’s second album\, Angels\nFalling\, was released in 2015 to rave reviews. including this quote\nby Terry Roland in No Depression magazine – ” If these songs were\npaintings\, they would be Andrew Wyeth’s starkly beautiful American\nlandscape work. These songs are landscapes of the soul.” …\nIn 2019\nRJ released his third album\, Amateur Revolution\, a collaboration with\nnotable Norwegian Producer-Composer HP Gunderesen and Los Angeles\nProducer Jason Hiller. Amateur Revolution features great musicians\nfrom both the Los Angeles\, California and Bergen\, Norway music\nscenes. The album was widely praised in the USA and throughout Europe\n. . Including\nPaul Kerr from AmericanaUK – ‘Amateur Revolution’ is not\ngoing to be the most polished album to grace the decks this month.\nIt’s all the better for that as the loose-limbed feel here runs\nthroughout the 12 songs gathered\, the sort of feel that one associates\nwith The Basement Tapes or Doug Sahm\, just a bunch of musicians having\nsome great fun performing some great songs\nand\nPaul Jackson – Fatea\nRecords UK- “Country music is a very broad church these days\,\nparticularly when you think of acts like Chris Stapleton and Sturgill\nSimpson\, so it’s great to get others coming along to push the\nboundaries further.\nSolid songs\, great performances from the band and crisp production\nmake Amateur Revolution a fine record indeed.”\nand from Music Morsels –\n“I have often wondered what Hank Williams Sr’s songs would have\nsounded like if he were alive today. After touring across North America in the 1970’s with multiple large acts\, Sam recorded his long awaited debut album\, New Moon in 1982. This was followed in 2017 by the popular release Never Let Me Go. He has contributed songs to many artists’ recordings over the span of his impressive 50 years in music. Along the way\, Sam Moon has shared the stage with many artists past and present\, including The Band\, Delbert McClinton\, The Guess Who\, The Beach Boys and April Wine. Sam continues to perform in duo format with Dave MacKeigan (Sam and Dave)\, as well as in Sam Moon and the Kozmic Roadhouse Band\, and the newly formed Sam and Dave and Solar Eclipse. Sam’s voice\, energy and stage presence remains dynamic and engaging\, while he still wears his trademark moo moo stage costumes to the thrill of many many long standing\, loyal fans.\nDave MacKeigan: Originally from Sydney Mines\, Nova Scotia\, Dave’s family moved to Halifax for work early in his life. He entered the music world through the Halifax City School Music program\, playing stringed instruments ranging from ukulele to double bass. After high school Dave went on the road playing rock and country music full time\, following Sam Moon\, The Oakley Band\, and Matt Minglewood. After 5 years of touring\, Dave worked full time outside of music but kept playing part time. For the last decade he has been playing in a duo with Sam Moon and hopes to keep music flowing for many years to come.\nPaula Jardine: Born in Thunder Bay Ontario to Miramichi parents\, Paula was raised in Blackville NB since childhood. Surrounded by her mother’s large family of talented Acadian musicians\, she picked up the guitar early and began playing at the fishing camps and Miramichi hootenannies by age 15. She performed locally and then spread out to the Fredericton area during university. With strong entrepreneurial spirit\, she and two friends opened a live music bar in downtown Fredericton called the Attic on King. There\, she supported the local music scene and fostered the grass roots beginnings of the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival\, while honing her own craft as a rhythm guitar player and highly engaging singer/entertainer. She joined the Canadian Armed Forces at age 26 and completed a 20 year career as an Naval officer\, travelling the world and playing her music every chance she could. She has played local venues in the Atlantic provinces for the last 17 years\, as a soloist (Acoustic River Revival) and in bands such as the Homeless Houseband\, 32 Front Street\, Dusty Angels\, Teddy’s Roadhouse\, and Sam Moon and the Kozmic Roadhouse.\neventbrite.ca/e/sam-moon-dave-mackeigan-paula-jardine-harvest-music-festival-matinee-tickets\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/466759389596861/

This track\, and the album\, Sequoia (release date TBC)\, are produced by Daniel Ledwell (Jenn Grant\, The Good Lovelies\, Fortunate Ones). \nFox’s debut album\, Green (2020)\, led her to tour Canada extensively\, sharing stages alongside names like Bahamas\, The Strumbellas and Joel Plaskett\, along with showcasing at the East Coast Music Awards (2021)\, Folk Alliance International (2021) and the Canadian Song Conference (2021). SUMMARY:MRTI Blues Series 2025 - Garrett Mason at Water Street Dinner Theatre
DESCRIPTION:doors 7:00 / show 7:00\nWater Street Dinner Theatre\nGarrett achieved legendary status at an early age\, and it was more than his celebrated family name that got him there. His father\, Dutch Mason may have baptized him in the blues\, but Garrett’s take on the genre is completely his own. His approach to blues guitar is where Garrett separates himself from the pack…inventive\, distinct and exciting. We expect a ‘sell out’ on this one.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1065447851976973/
