DESCRIPTION:Come out to Haven Music Hall on November 22 for this transportive and beautiful evening featuring SCIONS and DENMOTHER!\nAll ages\, advance tickets $18\, $20 at the door.\nDoors 7pm/show 8pm\nScions features members from the award-winning minimalist chamber-jazz quartet New Hermitage\, the Polaris-nominated drone-hymn duo Joyful Joyful\, and the acclaimed producer and composer Michael Cloud Duguay. Their collaboration began at the Sappyfest music festival in Sackville\, New Brunswick\, in August 2022. During this event\, New Hermitage and Joyful Joyful connected for the first time and teamed up with Duguay for an improvisational performance based on his songwriting. The enthusiastic response\, capped by a standing ovation\, solidified the ensemble’s decision to pursue the project further\, with Duguay deftly shifting from front-person to producer and musical director.\nDenMother is the electronic music project of Canadian singer-songwriter Sabarah Pilon. Incorporating lush\, atmospheric vocal elements over layers of drums and synths\, DenMother’s sound can be described as the ethereal converging with the feral.\n——-\nAccessibility\nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets. If you’d like more information about accessing our space please email abigail@havenmusichall.com.\nAll Ages Show Details\nThis is a wet/dry show\, meaning both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served. All patrons will be ID’d upon entry and given a coloured bracelet corresponding with their ticket type (19+ or -19). Bartenders will also be checking IDs at the bar. During all ages shows we are careful not to serve multiple drinks to one person\, so if you’re buying your 19+ friend a beer please bring them to the bar to order with you! All ages are welcome but only 19+ patrons with ID’s may purchase alcohol. Patrons aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a guardian.\nSafer Spaces Policy/Code of Conduct\nHaven Music Hall (HMH) is committed to ensuring a safer show experience for musicians\, audiences\, staff\, and volunteers. If you see or experience any form of harassment or abuse please inform the bar staff on site. If you experience harassment or abuse and wish to inform us after the fact please email abigail@havenmusichall.com.
