SUMMARY:Marian & Partake at Haven Music Hall!
DESCRIPTION:Come out to this banger show on August 3rd featuring MARIAN and PARTAKE!!!\nall-ages\ndoors 10pm\nshow 10:30pm\n$10/no one turned away for lack of funds!\nAdvance tickets available at Haven (201 Union Street Saint John NB) Wednesday-Saturday 4pm-10pm\nMARIAN is a music lover’s band. Guided by their collective love for inescapable harmonies\, big riffs\, and unforgettable hooks\, their debut album\, Hit Record\, blends the best of rock music’s heyday with a fearless appreciation of the here and now. Rock and roll hasn’t sounded this sweet in too long.\nPARTAKE are a 5 piece that likes to jam. We are writer Josh Hicks on vocals and guitar\, Jake “Boss” McIntyre (guitar)\, Jake Craig (drums)\, Doug Martin (bass)\, and Jennifer Nason (keys/ bvs). We all play in a lot of bands and hang out in uptown SJ. We have a heavy / alternative / jammy / indie sound.\nAccessibility\nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets. If you’d like more information about accessing our space please email abigail@havenmusichall.com.\nAll Ages Show Details\nThis is a wet/dry show\, meaning both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served. All patrons will be ID’d upon entry and given a coloured bracelet corresponding with their ticket type (19+ or -19). Bartenders will also be checking IDs at the bar. During all ages shows we are careful not to serve multiple drinks to one person\, so if you’re buying your 19+ friend a beer please bring them to the bar to order with you! All ages are welcome but only 19+ patrons with ID’s may purchase alcohol. Patrons aged 15 and under must be accompanied by a guardian.\nSafer Spaces Policy/Code of Conduct\nHaven Music Hall (HMH) is committed to ensuring a safer show experience for musicians\, audiences\, staff\, and volunteers. If you see or experience any form of harassment or abuse please inform the bar staff on site. If you experience harassment or abuse and wish to inform us after the fact please email abigail@havenmusichall.com. This email is read by the HMH owners only and any reports of safety violations will be treated as confidential. Incidents that are reported in real time are written up by the handling staff member and are confidential and kept on file. Abuse and harassment of an audience member\, musician\, HMH staff\, security\, or volunteers will result in immediate ejection from the premises\, potential probationary period\, and potential banning from the premises. As event coordinators we prioritize the experiences of the musicians\, staff\, and audience members\, so patrons who are being disruptive to the performance or bothering staff will be asked to stop their disruptive actions\, and may/or be asked to leave the premises.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1219710635898062/

SUMMARY:Totally 90's Kick off
DESCRIPTION:Saint John Pride is taking over the Market Square Atrium for an Epic 90’s Kick off Bash! Actually\, to get REALLY technical\, we’re taking it over for TWO EPIC 90’s Kick off Bashes.\nOn August 9th\, the first day of Saint John Pride Week\, we’ll be kicking it off 90’s style with a back to back kick off bash for everyone to enjoy.\nOur fabulous DJ’s\, DJ Circuit Witch and DJ Mike Red.Blue will be spinning a set of amazing 90’s tunes for you to dance to.\nBut that’s not all. Maybe was just a fever dream our president had\, or maybe it’s one of those Mandela effect things\, but in Saint John in the ACTUAL 90’s some madman/genius had a children’s Spice Girls Lip Sync competition in Brunswick Square. Kids donned their best girl power getups and choreographed their way to lip sync/impersonation supremacy.\nSo we’ll be taking applications for groups of folks who want to show off their skills by impersonating the Brits that brought about the girl power movement. We will take groups of 2-6 and if you’re brave enough\, single spice girls.\nYou can apply here:\nhttps://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdozevYeXz0cAMqxa-m9OkzR0sYNLnAky60zAIdjCpcFDkfOw/viewform?usp=sharing\nThen our audience will help our super secret judges pick out the group that reigns supreme and they will each go home with a super secret prize for all their hard work.\nThe first part of the bash will take place between 7:00pm – 9:00pm (Doors open at 6:30pm) and it will be ALL AGES with a huge focus on our Youths 18 and under. DJ Circuit Witch will be spinning the tunes!\nThe Second half of the bash are for all our 19+ “90’s kids” and will run from 9:30pm – 12:30am where DJ Mike Red.Blue will take over!\nWhen you click on “get tickets” make sure you click August 9th on the calendar and the different ticket times will come up!\nhttps://www.ticketleap.events/tickets/saint-john-pride/totally-90-s-kick-off-party\nTickets are FREE\, but pre-registration is required.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/337644362724338/
