Members pay no cover!✨\nNow let’s get into the game we’re playing this week!\nDesigned by Stan Kordonskiy (Dice Hospital\, Rurik\, Lock Up)\, developed by Jonny Pac (Coloma\, Sierra West\, Lions of Lydia)\, solo mode by Drake Villareal (Solani\, Spook Manor)\, and illustrated by The Mico (Raiders of the North Sea\, Paladins of the West Kingdom\, Valeria)\, Endless Winter: Paleoamericans takes place in North America\, around 10\,000 BCE. Players guide the development of their tribes across several generations—from nomadic hunter-gatherers to prosperous tribal societies. Over the course of the game\, tribes migrate and settle new lands\, establish cultural traditions\, hunt paleolithic megafauna\, and build everlasting megalithic structures.\nEndless Winter is a euro-style game that combines worker placement and deck building in an innovative way. Each round\, players send their tribe members to various action spaces\, and pay for the actions by playing cards and spending resources. Tribe cards grant additional labor\, while Culture cards provide a variety of unique effects. As an alternative\, cards can be saved for an end-of-round Eclipse phase\, where they are simultaneously revealed to determine the new player order\, and trigger various bonus actions.\nThe game features a novel blend of interwoven systems and mechanisms\, such as multi-use cards\, area influence\, tile placement\, and set collection. Plus\, there are many viable paths to victory. After four brisk rounds\, scores are tallied\, and the tribe with the most points wins!\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1247284899589756/

SUMMARY:Movement Workshop with EYAS Dance Project & Chroma NB
DESCRIPTION:1:00 – 2:30 PM – InterAction School of Performing Arts\nFor all levels / No experience necessary!\nFREE – RSVP\nWorkshop Registration: https://www.zeffy.com/en-CA/ticketing/a085c333-5098-4292-9a2a-507a3ee7f235 \nSensorial Improvisation: A movement class open to everyone regardless of age or body. In this workshop we invite ourselves to awaken consciousness and connection with our bodies through guided movement. Drawing from tools such as improvisation and meditation\, we connect to physical sensations\, the joy of moving\, pleasure and effort. It is important to note that it is also a safe space to feel silly or even embarrassed. All of that is part of being human and we aren’t ashamed! \nWe suggest all participants come wearing comfortable clothes that feel good to move in and a water bottle. \nAs Queer artists ourselves\, we are eager to connect with the community in Saint John and provide an experience where we can connect to the pleasure of movement and awaken sensations in our bodies. The workshop will be led within the framework of Sensorial Improvisation and is geared towards all bodies\, with or without previous experience in dance.

SUMMARY:Meeple Meet-Up: Chai
DESCRIPTION:Mat and Danielle are hosting Meeple Meet-Up at Offline on Fridays! Yay! What is Meeple Meet-Up? Let’s get into it! 💚\nWhat is it: A place to make new friends\, learn to play a game\, and hang out! Join us at 6:30pm on Fridays to try a new game (or play an old favourite). No experience or plus one required. There will be people there to teach you the game\, and to play with! The perfect way to meet new friends and play more board games! 🤗\nWhen: Friday July 26th at 6:30pm\, and every Friday after that! 🕰️\nWhere: Offline Board Game Cafe\, at Parkway Mall! We have lots of parking and we are an accessible venue. 📍\nWho: You! Your friends! Your family! All are welcome and we are so happy to host you. Please let us know by sending us a message\, commenting or calling us at 506-631-3333 if you intend on coming! 💃🏻\nCost: Just our regular cover price of $5+tax for anyone 12-64 or $3+tax if you’re 2-11 or 65+! Members pay no cover!✨\nNow let’s get into the game we’re playing this week!\nIn Chai\, you will step into the shoes of a tea merchant\, combining tea flavours to make a perfect blend. Specializing in either rooibos\, green\, oolong\, black or white tea\, you will buy and collect ingredients to fulfill your customers’ orders.\nAs a tea merchant\, each turn you will do one of the following: Visit the Market\, Select Additives\, Reserve a Customer.\nAt the end of each turn\, a player may complete a tea order from one customer card in their hand or visible in the customer pool. A base tea token\, tea flavours and additives shown on the card are needed ingredients\, and placed in an empty tea cup. The player flips over a tip and receives a coin bonus\, moving the thermometer round tracker up one notch if all cups are filled.\nThe game ends when five rounds of cups have been fulfilled. When the final order is completed\, other players complete their last turn so that each player has played the same number of turns.\nTo score\, players add up their victory points from fulfilled customer orders\, and add their leftover money to this total. In 3-5 player games\, additional points are awarded to the player(s) who fulfilled the most orders and most diverse tea recipes. Award ties are friendly with each winner receiving 5 points.\nThe player with the most victory points (from customer orders\, money\, and awards) wins the game as best tea merchant! In the case of a tie\, the person with the least number of fulfilled customer cards wins. If still tied\, the person with the least amount of money wins. If that does not break a tie\, the victory is shared.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1664545077638812/

SUMMARY:July 26\, Clinton Charlton / Lester Slade / Josh Hicks at Harmony House SJ
DESCRIPTION:House show in uptown Saint John\, NB. We will have two local singer-songwriters from Saint John performing original acoustic music in the country / folk / bluegrass / indie genres\, and a 3-4 piece bluegrass band\, originally from Moncton\, but now based in Nunavut! (see more below)\nWe are so honoured to feature Clinton Charlton\, known to many in the Saint John music community as the drummer/ in a number of local projects including Jessica Rhaye\, Catherine Kennedy\, and Penny Blacks. He is also a guitarist and songwriter\, electronic music producer\, and this is his own solo work on guitar. He played our HOUSEFEST open mic a few weeks ago for a sneak peak\, and with Penny Blacks\, ands this is his first solo show of his own work here at the HOUSE.\nJosh Hicks is a little newer to the music community\, but a gifted singer-songwriter and is the lead in Partake\, the fairly newly formed local indie rock band (and Harmony House’s house band) Find him on Band camp under Josh Hicks. And his hip hop work under the name Jack Awful. This is his solo work : genre-bending and original. His first solo show at the HOUSE.\nAnd it is with great excitement that we introduce Lester Slade and his band to Harmony House. Lester has been playing country and bluegrass in the Maritimes and in Northern Canada for years\, and has released several videos on youtube and is on the streams\, and there is a great session with he and Gina Burgess on violin out there too. This show will will be a three-four piece with vocals and strings!
