SUMMARY:McKinley\, Morrison & Williams\, with Friends!
DESCRIPTION:Come on out to Haven Music Hall on June 22 to see the amazing McKinley\, Morrison\, & Williams with special guests Catherine Kennedy and Connor Fox!\nAll ages\nDoors 7pm\, show 7:30pm\nAdvance tickets $25+tax\, $30+tax at the door!\nEast Coast musicians Josh McKinley\, John Morrison and Darrell Williams have have made a significant mark on the Canadian East Coast music scene\, performing at festivals\, touring theatres and clubs and by creating their own brand of an intimate show experience. In 2019\, they were awarded Stingray Music Rising Star at the Harvest Jazz & Blues Festival and Band of the Year at the Saint John Music Awards. In 2023\, MMW released their first studio album titled\, “Sunday Morning Coffee”\, garnished with the extra color of international musicians who have performed with Sting\, The Rolling Stones\, Alicia Keys\, Steve Vai and many others. This exciting instrumental trio delivers melodic musical fusion\, bass solos\, guitar wizardry\, and a drum clinic performance.\n\n\nAward-winning singer-songwriter Catherine Kennedy invites you to join her on the long way home. Any story worth telling deserves the time it takes to travel along the nostalgic route\, and Catherine’s soulful lyrics and bluesy tones will transport you directly there.\n\nIn 2018\, Catherine released her solo EP Fifty-Fifty Chance and toured her music throughout the East Coast at festivals such as Area 506\, Folly Fest\, Paddlefest\, and Shivering Songs. 2022 saw the release of her self-titled debut album for which she\, along with her band\, won Breakthrough Artist of the Year from the Music New Brunswick Awards\, and earned two further nominations for Recording of the Year and Song of the Year.\n\nOne music-lover praised how “the beautiful quality and range of Catherine’s voice pairs perfectly with her gift of storytelling. Catherine’s music makes you feel part of something bigger. Her songs always seem as though they’re written for you.”\nSo come roam along the winding road of your story and join Catherine on the long way home.\n\n\nAs a musician Connor Fox comes armed with a lot of tools in his belt–yes\, he has the ability to shred with the best of them\, but when needed\, he can maturely play in the moment too\, giving whatever is required of him.\nHis seasoned tastes and sense of subtlety betray someone of only 23 years of age\, but Connor comes across as wise\, both in his demeanor and his guitar playing\, which he has been doing since he was old enough to hold one. Stylistically\, whether it’s capturing the fire and passion of a Stevie Ray Vaughan solo or the nuanced\, creative impulses of Jerry Garcia\, his two primary influences\, Connor is a force.\n—\nAccessibility\nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets. If you’d like more information about accessing our space please email abigail@havenmusichall.com.\nAll Ages Show Details\nThis is a wet/dry show\, meaning both alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks are served. During all ages shows we are careful not to serve multiple drinks to one person\, so if you’re buying your 19+ friend a beer please bring them to the bar to order with you! All ages are welcome but only 19+ patrons with ID’s may purchase alcohol. SUMMARY:Meeple Meet-Up: The Wolves
DESCRIPTION:Mat and Danielle are hosting Meeple Meet-Up at Offline on Fridays! Yay! What is Meeple Meet-Up? Let’s get into it! 💚\nWhat is it: A place to make new friends\, learn to play a game\, and hang out! Join us at 6:30pm on Fridays to try a new game (or play an old favourite). No experience or plus one required. There will be people there to teach you the game\, and to play with! The perfect way to meet new friends and play more board games! 🤗\nWhen: Friday July 12th at 6:30pm\, and every Friday after that! 🕰️\nWhere: Offline Board Game Cafe\, at Parkway Mall! We have lots of parking and we are an accessible venue. 📍\nWho: You! Your friends! Your family! All are welcome and we are so happy to host you. Please let us know by sending us a message\, commenting or calling us at 506-631-3333 if you intend on coming! 💃🏻\nCost: Just our regular cover price of $5+tax for anyone 12-64 or $3+tax if you’re 2-11 or 65+! Members pay no cover!✨\nNow let’s get into the game we’re playing this week!\nhe Wolves is a pack-building strategy game for 2-5 players. It’s survival of the fittest as you compete to build the largest\, most dominant pack by claiming territory\, recruiting lone wolves\, and hunting prey. But be careful not to expand too recklessly into terrain where your rivals thrive – they may lure members of your pack away.\nA clever action-selection mechanism drives your choices. Each action requires you to flip terrain tiles matching the terrain where you wish to take your action. These double-sided tiles mean the actions you take this round will set up which terrain types you can act on in the next round. As you take actions to expand your pack’s control of each region\, you also upgrade your pack’s attributes\, allowing you to take more aggressive actions as the game goes on.\nIn three mid-game scoring phases\, power is calculated in each region. At the end of the game\, players tally points based on VP tokens earned in these scoring phases and the highest VP number revealed in each of the six tracks on your player board. The player with the most VP wins!\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/991190542546482/

SUMMARY:Meeple Meet-Up: Endless Winter
DESCRIPTION:Mat and Danielle are hosting Meeple Meet-Up at Offline on Fridays! Yay! What is Meeple Meet-Up? Let’s get into it! 💚\nWhat is it: A place to make new friends\, learn to play a game\, and hang out! Join us at 6:30pm on Fridays to try a new game (or play an old favourite). No experience or plus one required. There will be people there to teach you the game\, and to play with! The perfect way to meet new friends and play more board games! 🤗\nWhen: Friday July 19th at 6:30pm\, and every Friday after that! Members pay no cover!✨\nNow let’s get into the game we’re playing this week!\nDesigned by Stan Kordonskiy (Dice Hospital\, Rurik\, Lock Up)\, developed by Jonny Pac (Coloma\, Sierra West\, Lions of Lydia)\, solo mode by Drake Villareal (Solani\, Spook Manor)\, and illustrated by The Mico (Raiders of the North Sea\, Paladins of the West Kingdom\, Valeria)\, Endless Winter: Paleoamericans takes place in North America\, around 10\,000 BCE. Players guide the development of their tribes across several generations—from nomadic hunter-gatherers to prosperous tribal societies. Over the course of the game\, tribes migrate and settle new lands\, establish cultural traditions\, hunt paleolithic megafauna\, and build everlasting megalithic structures.\nEndless Winter is a euro-style game that combines worker placement and deck building in an innovative way. Each round\, players send their tribe members to various action spaces\, and pay for the actions by playing cards and spending resources. Tribe cards grant additional labor\, while Culture cards provide a variety of unique effects. As an alternative\, cards can be saved for an end-of-round Eclipse phase\, where they are simultaneously revealed to determine the new player order\, and trigger various bonus actions.\nThe game features a novel blend of interwoven systems and mechanisms\, such as multi-use cards\, area influence\, tile placement\, and set collection. Plus\, there are many viable paths to victory. After four brisk rounds\, scores are tallied\, and the tribe with the most points wins!\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1247284899589756/

SUMMARY:Meeple Meet-Up: Chai
DESCRIPTION:Mat and Danielle are hosting Meeple Meet-Up at Offline on Fridays! Yay! What is Meeple Meet-Up? Let’s get into it! 💚\nWhat is it: A place to make new friends\, learn to play a game\, and hang out! Join us at 6:30pm on Fridays to try a new game (or play an old favourite). No experience or plus one required. There will be people there to teach you the game\, and to play with! The perfect way to meet new friends and play more board games! 🤗\nWhen: Friday July 26th at 6:30pm\, and every Friday after that! Members pay no cover!✨\nNow let’s get into the game we’re playing this week!\nIn Chai\, you will step into the shoes of a tea merchant\, combining tea flavours to make a perfect blend. Specializing in either rooibos\, green\, oolong\, black or white tea\, you will buy and collect ingredients to fulfill your customers’ orders.\nAs a tea merchant\, each turn you will do one of the following: Visit the Market\, Select Additives\, Reserve a Customer.\nAt the end of each turn\, a player may complete a tea order from one customer card in their hand or visible in the customer pool. A base tea token\, tea flavours and additives shown on the card are needed ingredients\, and placed in an empty tea cup. The player flips over a tip and receives a coin bonus\, moving the thermometer round tracker up one notch if all cups are filled.\nThe game ends when five rounds of cups have been fulfilled. When the final order is completed\, other players complete their last turn so that each player has played the same number of turns.\nTo score\, players add up their victory points from fulfilled customer orders\, and add their leftover money to this total. In 3-5 player games\, additional points are awarded to the player(s) who fulfilled the most orders and most diverse tea recipes. Award ties are friendly with each winner receiving 5 points.\nThe player with the most victory points (from customer orders\, money\, and awards) wins the game as best tea merchant! In the case of a tie\, the person with the least number of fulfilled customer cards wins. If still tied\, the person with the least amount of money wins. If that does not break a tie\, the victory is shared.\nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1664545077638812/
