This epoch would then culminate in the retreat to a Toronto studio where these narratives could be brought to life. Armed with eight tunes surrounded by an air of melancholy\, reflection and hope\, this collection of songs would introduce the original musicality of Eddy Currents to the world.\nInfluenced heavily by the writings of Warren Zevon\, Bruce Springsteen and Neil Peart\, his eponymous debut album was released in 2020. Each of the album’s songs are somewhat reflective of the city in which they were written; from Halifax to Manhattan to Munich. Composed primarily on the piano\, the album weaves between genres throughout.
