Originally founded in 2004\, they quickly established a reputation within the scene as a noisy band with terrible attitudes and an inappropriate amount of confidence. Repeatedly blacklisted by venues in 2007 due to their onstage antics\, the band soon after disbanded due to infighting. Sixteen years later\, Crying Shames have reunited with the addition of bassist Gavin Downes. They are heavily influenced by post-punk groups such as Gang of Four\, DC hardcore bands (Nation of Ulysses)\, early 2000’s post-hardcore bands (Black Eyes)\, and 90’s alternative bands (Pixies).\nAccessibility\nHaven Music Hall is a street-level small music venue without fixed seating. This show is combination standing and seating room only. Our entrance exterior is a 34″ wide door that has a small lip/step up from the street. Once inside\, our entrance vestibule has three steps up into the space with an interior entrance opening of 70″. We have two single-use washrooms with toilets.
