Join us for an enchanting concert as we embark on a musical journey through soul-stirring songs! Australian baritone James Roser and Acadian pianist Carl Philippe Gionet met in Vienna fifteen years ago and since then, they have performed regularly together in Austria, England, Scotland and Canada. For this recital, they will perform the evocative Songs of Travel by Ralph Vaughan Williams, the beautiful cycle Let Us Garlands Bring by Gerald Finzi, and a selection of Lieder by Franz Schubert. Experience the emotion and rich storytelling of these exquisite pieces, and immerse yourself in an afternoon of artistry that celebrates the beauty of the season and the power of music to inspire and uplift! Le baryton James Roser et le pianiste Carl Philippe Gionet présenteront une série de trois concerts au Nouveau-Brunswick en mai. James et Carl se sont rencontrés en Europe il y a une quinzaine d’années et depuis, on a pu les entendre ensemble en récital dans plusieurs villes d’Autriche, en Angleterre, en Écosse et au Canada. Ils sont très heureux de se retrouver après plusieurs années pour vous présenter ce récital. En première partie, vous pourrez entendre les célèbres Songs of Travel de Ralph Vaughan Williams ainsi que le magnifique cycle Let Us Garlands Bring de Gerald Finzi, sur des textes de Shakespeare. Pour terminer le programme, James et Carl ont choisi une sélection de Lieder de Franz Schubert. Ce concert est présenté par Christ Church Parish Church.
