Help us honour Phyllis Prendergast and make a difference in the city! Join us at Dolan’s Pub on Wednesday, May 22nd at 7PM to enjoy sounds of Rick & Sean Hutchins and Friends in support of a cause near and dear to our hearts. Cash donations will be collected at the door.
Phyllis Prendergast left a real impression on our community and we’d like to honour her in a special way. She was a generous, caring woman and loved Fredericton and worked tirelessly to support the causes close to her heart: Meals on Wheels, River Jam Fredericton, Dooryard Arts Festival, Shivering Songs, Larlee Creek Hullabaloo, Medicare Alumni, but her main love was the Harvest Music Festival for which she was a driving force for 27 years.
‘Name a Seat’ is the fundraising drive happening now in support of the new Performing Arts Center (Playhouse) which allows for a loved one’s name to be engraved on a seat in the new venue to honour their legacy of helping build a vibrant community. And Phyllis definitely built a loving, vibrant community! Nothing would make her more proud, or be more fitting than an engraved seat for herself and a second for her guest since we know she always take a friend along to spread the joy!
To keep Phyllis’s memory alive for years & years to come, we invite you to help us raise the required funds to make this possible!
Total required is $2,000 for the two seats. We’ve currently been able to raise $635 through the GO FUND ME campaign. Any money collected over the required $2,000 will be donated to the Fredericton Food Bank.
