(FREDERICTON, NB) REDS Events and the UNB Student Union are excited to announce they’re bringing Canadian Country Music Award winning and multi-platinum selling group High Valley, with special guest Josh Norrad, to UNB’s Richard J. CURRIE CENTER on Friday, February 2nd, at 7:00pm.
The show will be the centrepiece of the 2024 Fredericton Toyota UNBSU and REDS Country Fest, part of UNBSU’s 2024 Winter Carnival, and is being presented by Re-Max East Coast ELITE Realty, New Country 92.3, NB Blueberries and the UNB Associated Alumni.
“We’re so happy to once again be partnering with the UNBSU on their Winter Carnival concert,” said Nick Zildjan, the REDS Marketing and Sales Manager. “The REDS and the Student Union continue to build on a great relationship by bringing in another top-tier act like High Valley.”
Tickets go on sale Friday, January 12th at 10:00am and will be available online at www.goredsgo.ca or in-person at the Aitken Centre box office.
Reserved seating and general admission (floor) tickets will cost $65 plus tax and service fee.
High Valley has cultivated a loyal following with upbeat messages and anthemic melodies in their unique mix of contemporary country and traditional bluegrass.
Their music has resonated with fans here in Canada and in the United States, making them the top-selling Canadian band in country music history.
The group has amassed more than half a billion global streams, notched back-to-back gold singles in the U.S., achieved multiple No. 1 songs in Canada, two gold albums and six platinum singles, and have been recognized with Juno Award, American Country Music Awards, and Country Music Television Awards nominations.
High Valley is currently supporting their brand-new album “Small Town Somethin”
Special guest Josh Norrad is a country/rock artist from Upper Miramich.
His single “To The Wind” debuted at No. 11 on the iTunes country charts and his lastest singles, “Boondocks” and “Fast Cars & Memories” have solidified his place as one of the most-listened to country artists in Canada.
This will be an all-ages event, licenced for those 19 years of age and over who can produce valid government identification.
“This is going to be another great night at the CURRIE CENTER,” said Zildjan. “Another of Canada’s top country acts is coming to town, along with a local rising star. It’s going to be a fantastic show.”
