Chickahominy Mountain Band is a boot stompin’, storytellin’, funny bone ticklin’ group of musicians hailing from parts all over NB and beyond. With ranging influences from the funky sounds of Stanley, the smooth clean rock sensibilities from Norton, the bluegrass madness from Sussex, the ragtime groove from a little place called Tarrana and last but not least the gritty blues emanating from the Musquash marsh.
We have been working hard on our debut album at Outsider’s Studio in Saint Andrews and have come away with 10 songs telling stories about small town New Brunswick life; from Grand Manan all the way to Oromocto Lake. We are totally self funding the album and have played shows in Saint Andrews, Saint John and Fredericton so far to pay for the studio time and now we need to raise the funds to get the mixing, mastering and finally pressing onto vinyl!
We are very much looking forward to our first show at Hampton Brewing Co and hope you will come out to support independent, homegrown music from NB!
